Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari will make another attempt to get the Senate to approve his request for a $29.96 billion loan from external sources to execute key infrastructure projects across the nation between 2016 and 2018.
The proposal which was rejected yesterday in the Upper Chamber of the House of Assembly failed to go through because it did not have a borrowing plan.
Lai Mohammed soundad optimistic about another try by President Buhari to push forward this borrowing plan, when he told State House correspondents:”It is not unusual for the government and the Senate to have some disagreements; they (senators) want more information. We will continue to engage them. We will give them all the information they need. We are sure that by the time we finish, they will approve the request.”
