
The Head of Service of Lagos State, Mrs. Olabode Ademola has stepped aside following her arraignment alongside her husband, Justice Adeniyi Ademola in an Abuja court.
The couple are facing an eleven-count charge which includes conspiracy to receive gratification and receiving gratification of N30million from a law firm namely Joe Agi and Associates.
The home of the Ademolas was one the judges’ homes recently raided in a night operation by DSS operatives.
A press statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde on Wednesday said: “Mrs. Ademola sought permission to be excused from her duty as the Head of Service while she proved her innocence in the allegation against her.The governor (Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode) has granted the approval and appointed an acting HOS.”
The Acting Head of Service is Mrs. Folashade Adesoye who was the Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
