The Senate on Thursday said it would not confirm Mr. Ibrahim Magu as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Senator Aliyu Sabi who disclosed the position of the Red Chamber in a prepared statement said security reports before the Senate made it impossible for Magu to be cleared for the position. The Senate therefore resolved that President Muhammadu Buhari sent a replacement for its consideration.
Even so, Senators said they would screen four other candidates whose names were sent to it by the President alongside that of Magu for consideration as members of the board of EFCC.
