Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the Senate has laughed off his suspension from the All Progressives Congress as a move that cannot stand.
The vocal senator who is Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts also attributed his indefinite suspension by the Kaduna State Chapter of the APC to the machinations of Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed El- Rufai.
In a statement he released on Wednesday, Sani said of the governor: “For a man who has been unable to address the pervasive insecurity and genocide is Southern Kaduna, for a man who has been unable to stem the tide of rampant kidnapping and abductions in Kaduna, suspending Shehu Sani cannot be counted as an achievement.”
The Kaduna APC through its Acting Publicity Secretary, Salisu Tanko Wusono promptly fired back: “Shehu Sani’s outburst is a confirmation that he has no sense of shame. He is a man full of tantrums, a man who simultaneously entertains and distresses people with his shameless antics.
“He has since lost focus and why he was elected to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the good people of Kaduna Central under the banner of APC.
“We suspended him indefinitely, following various anti-party activities and utterances aimed at tearing the party into pieces. The masses of Kaduna Central have since unravelled his deceit. His heart and mind are in PDP whose agent he has been in our party.”
