The Independent National Electoral Commission has formally recognised the faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party backed by Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The development was reflected on the commission’s official website, where it published an updated list of the party’s national leadership.
According to the listing, Abdulrahman Mohammed was recognised as National Chairman, while Samuel Anyanwu was listed as National Secretary, alongside other members of the party’s executive.
The recognised officials emerged during the Peoples Democratic Party’s recent national convention held in Abuja, where members of the NWC were elected by consensus following the dissolution of the party’s national caretaker committee.
