
Minna, the Niger State capital this Wednesday played host to many dignitaries from different parts of Nigeria as the remains of Alhaji Abdulkadir Kure, the state’s erstwhile governor were buried.
Kure, aged 60, died in a German hospital on January 8. His body was committed to mother earth after a funeral prayer conducted by the Chief Imam of Minna, Sheikh Isa Fari.
Dignitaries who attended the burial included Nigeria’s former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, former Senate Presidents, David Mark and Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu and the state’s incumbent Governor, Abubakar Bello.
In attendance also were the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal and many first class emirs from Niger state.
