The Department of State Services (DSS), has invited former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam over arms and ammunition allegedly recovered from exotic cars which are said to belong to him.
Last night, the DSS confirmed that the former Governor was already helping them unravel the mystery behind the discovery made by its operatives following intelligence reports.
In a statement made available by Tony Opuiyo, the agency’s spokesman, the arms and ammunitions were hidden in two exotic cars– a Masarati 4.7 with registration number BWR-207-AJ and a Mercedes Benz S550 with registration number BWR-135-AH, which were found to belong to the former governor.
Opuiyo further stated that during the search carried out in the presence of two private security agents attached to the property, Dunes Investment and Global Properties Ltd, located at No 44 Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Maitama, Abuja, some incriminating items were found.
The items found and confiscated by the DSS include a Glock pistol with two magazines and 29 rounds of ammunition, one AK-47 rifle, one mini-Uzi with two magazines containing 10 and 4 rounds respectively and 42 extra rounds of ammunition contained in a pack.
Other items allegedly uncovered at the property include 21 Certificates of Occupancy (C of O), one offer of Statutory Right of Occupancy, 23 luxury designer watches and 45 keys to various luxury cars.
