The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has recovered 17 exotic vehicles in a warehouse located on Nnamdi Azikiwe Street in Kaduna. The warehouse is said to be the property of the former Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr Abdullahi Dikko.

EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said the commission swooped on the warehouse after it received an intelligence report that money and property suspected to be proceeds of crime were being kept in the place.

The commission dispatched a team of operatives from its Kano Zonal office to carry out the investigation. That, according to Uwujaren, was what led to the recovery.

He narrated: “On arrival at the location, two individuals who were identified to be the custodians of the property—Dantala Mohammed and Ahmed Balarabe—were presented with a search warrant.

“In the course of the search, a total of 17 vehicles among which are brand new cars, shuttle buses and SUVs were found on the premises.”

Uwujaren said the vehicles and the two men were conveyed to the zonal offices of the EFCC in Kaduna and Kano respectively. He also said investigation has revealed that the warehouse actually belongs to Dikko.

The recovered vehicles whose monetary value was however not given were listed as:
