The Nigerian Customs Service has handed over the 661 pump action rifles it intercepted in Lagos on the 23rd of January 2017 to the Directorate of State Service (DSS) for further investigations.
Handing over the rifles and two suspects namely Mr. Oscar Okafor (the importer) and Mr. Mahmud Hassan (the clearing agent) on Friday, Deputy Comptroller General of Customs in charge of Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation, Mr Dan Ugo called on well- meaning Nigerians to aid the service with necessary and useful information that would help them function effectively.
The rifles were received by the Director of the Lagos State Command of DSS, Ms Betty Adoki on behalf of the Director-General of the service, Mr. Lawal Daura.
