Former Nigerian international footballer, Emmanuel Emenike, has told racists who call him a monkey to add “Rich” when next they want to take a swipe at him.
The 29-year old footballer, who currently laces his boots for Turkish giants, Fenerbahce, gave the advise on his Instagram social media page on Monday.
Emenike, who incidentally would be celebrating his 30th birthday on May 10, went further to share some of the comments he gets on some of his posts which include racist descriptions such as “monkey” and “banana”.
Racism, which has been an issue of great concern in international football circles, is believed to have psychological effects on the targeted players but Emenike seems unperturbed as long as the racist comments do not stop money from flowing into his bank accounts.
It would be recalled that last week, Pescara of Italy and Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Muntari, abandoned the field of play after he was booked for dissent for complaining to the referee about racists’ chants from a section of the spectators in the stadium.
