The Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted another container laden with arms and ammunitions at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos.
The discovery of the container at the Cargo Terminal of the port is coming days after an alarm was raised by the Nigerian Army about moves by some Nigerians to compromise the military. That alarm has variously been interpreted to mean that some unscrupulous Nigerian politicians could be scheming to topple the democratically elected government of Nigeria using the Army.
It would be recalled that the Customs had in January this year, intercepted a 60ft container of 49 boxes bearing 661 AK-47 rifles in Lagos.
