Portuguese football talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo put in another stellar performance for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final against Italian giants, Juventus in Cardiff, Wales to cap a record-breaking season.
After his first goal in the 3-0 thumping of their bitter rivals, Atletico Madrid in the semi-final stage of the competition saw him become the first player ever to score 50 times in the Champions League, his third goal in that same match took his goal tally to 400 since joining the Los Blancos in 2009.
Apart from breaking the record of Real Madrid legend, Alfredo Di Stefano, for the most goals scored in the champions league knock-out stages, he also became the first player to score back to back hat-tricks in the knock out stages of the UCL.
The same hat-trick from the 4-time Balon D’or winner also helped Real Madrid become the first European team to reach seven consecutive Champions League semi-finals.
The icing on the ground-breaking cake was on Saturday night when his first goal against Juventus made him the first player in history to score in three different finals in the Champions League Era.
