Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Ibe Kachikwu on Tuesday said it was shameful that a country like Nigeria was still importing finished petroleum products.
Kachikwu stated this in a series of messages on his Twitter handle. He added that it was indeed time for the country to stop importing the finished products as the Federal Ministry of Petroleum was committed to ensuring that this was actualized.
“It is shameful that we’ve continued to import finished products. We need to stop. We are committed to this,” one of the tweets said.
