Nigeria’s Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has said Nigerians should expect President ,Muhammadu Buhari back in the country very soon. Only yesterday, Osinbajo flew into London to see the ailing President who has been undergoing medical treatment since early May. Both of them had a one-hour meeting after which Osinbajo quickly returned to Nigeria.
After the Federal Executive Council meeting which he presided over today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Prof. Osinbajo told newsmen that President Buhari was recuperating very fast and that Nigerians should expect him back in the country very shortly. He told the reporters:
“ We had a very good time. We had a good conversation on wide-ranging issues and he is in very good spirit. He is recuperating very quickly and he is doing well.
“I think we should expect him back very shortly. Like I said earlier, he is recuperating very fast and he is doing well.” He however did not give the likely date of the President’s return.
Prof. Osinbajo said he went to London to see how Buhari was doing since he had not seen him for some time and to brief him about recent activities and developments in the country since he left.
