The Federal Government is moving to beef up security in Southern Kaduna following the resurgence of bloody clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers.
The latest clash which happened this week was in Kajuru Local Government Area where 33 people, according to the police, lost their lives.
A statement from the office of the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo says he has ordered further security reinforcements in Kaduna State. The statement quoted him as saying:
“We will not relent and won’t be deterred in our pursuit of securing the lives and property of all Nigerians, everywhere and in every part of this nation. In the end, we will not only secure the peace all around, but we shall enforce justice for the victims.”
