English billionaire football club, Manchester City has accepted the £25 million offer made by Leicester City to secure the services of Nigerian international attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho’s slide down the pecking order of The Citizens under coach Pep Guardiola following the arrival of Brazilian wonder kid Gabriel Jesus, paved the way for The Foxes to easily lure him to the King Power Stadium.
According to Sky Sports, a deal in principle to bring the skillful 20-year-old maverick into the fold of the 2015/2016 Premier League champions has been agreed although there are contractual details to be sorted out before Leicester City gaffer, Craig Shakespeare unveils his latest catch.
Shakespeare hopes that Iheanacho will form a formidable alliance upfront with Jamie Vardy as they are both blessed with blistering pace and deadly finishes.
Iheanacho, who netted seven goals for Manchester City in all competitions despite his sporadic appearances last season, is also hoping to join compatriot and Super Eagles’ vice captain, Ahmed Musa and turn around the fortunes of Leicester City when the 2017/2018 season begins.
