Nigeria’s Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday assigned portfolios to the two ministers who were recently sworn into office.
Osinbajo who assigned the designations to the ministers who were sworn in on July 26, also swore in new permanent secretaries shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Stephen Ocheni from Kogi State was announced as the new Minister of State for Labour to replace the late James Ocholi who died in a ghastly auto-crash along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway while Suleiman Hassan from Gombe is to serve as the Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, replacing Amina Mohammed who resigned her position as Environment Minister to take up the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
