Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Wednesday said only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can pull the country out of the current quagmire the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has plunged it into.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, after the premiere of the stage adaptation of Elechi Amadi’s novel, “The Concubine” by Imo Edward, the governor said he believed in the Senator Ahmed Makarfi – led National Caretaker Committee to take the party to greater heights.
“The PDP is the only political party that can bring Nigeria out of its quagmire. Nobody can intimidate us. No amount of machine guns can change us. When we take a position, we stand by it,” Wike said.
He added: “I am supporting the Makarfi – led PDP National Caretaker Committee totally because it means well for the party.”
