The Minister of Communications, Mr. Adebayo Shittu says the combined efforts of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other form ermilitary leaders cannot stop President Muhammadu Buhari from achieving his 2019 re-election ambition.

Shittu, who stated this on Tuesday while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja said since the former Nigerian leaders were not God, there should be no need for supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to be apprehensive.

“Who is OBJ? OBJ is not God. IBB is not God. Obasanjo was president here, he wanted a third term and he didn’t get it. What Mr. President did, we had done that much back on his behalf; that is the Muhammadu Buhari,/Osinbajo Dynamic Support Group.

“So what he did yesterday (Monday) was just a follow-up to what we had done three months ago. And I want to assure you that by the grace of God, Muhammadu Buhari will become President the second time,” Shittu said.

While listing the President’s achievements, the minister stressed that Buhari had distinguished himself with his performance, adding that what he had achieved in just three years had surpassed what the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did for Nigerians in 15 years.

Obasanjo and former military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida had advised President Buhari not to run in the 2019 polls, urging Nigerians to vote him out should he decide otherwise.
