The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Senate President, Bukola Saraki as the Director General of its Presidential Campaign Council.
Saraki was among the 11 other aspirants who challenged Atiku for the presidential ticket of the PDP. All the aspirants have also pledged support for Atiku having accepted the exercise as free, peaceful and transparent.
According to a tweet by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbodiyan, in his official twitter handle on Tuesday morning, zonal coordinators have also been named.
They are Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi (South East), Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal (North West), Benue State Governor, Sam Ortom (North Central), immediate past Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose (South West), Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike (South South) and Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo (North East).
The tweet also announced Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel as the Chairman of its Fund Raising Committee while former Minster of Special Duties, Tanimu Turaki was appointed Chairman, Legal Matters.
The tweet added that other key appointments into the campaign structure would be disclosed soon.
