The suspended Deputy National Chairman (North) of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Babawo Gamawa has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Gamawa was suspended on Monday by the National Working Committee of the PDP over allegations of dereliction of duty and anti-party activities.
Gamawa’s defection to the APC was announced on Tuesday by the spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, who posted pictures of Gamawa and the Bauchi State governor, Mohammed Abubakar who visited the President at his official residence.
“President Buhari receives in audience new entrant into APC, Former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa and Hon. Kaulaha Aliyu alongside Bauchi State Governor in State House on 8th Jan 2019,” Adesina posted on Facebook.
