The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked its members across the nation to troop to the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that its votes were not tampered with.
Speaking with newsmen on Monday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan said it was unacceptable that results in states where the PDP was coasting home to victory were declared inconclusive by INEC.
“It is unacceptable and we are mandating our members to go to INEC offices in their respective states and use every legitimate means to ensure that our votes given to our party by Nigerians are not stolen,” he said.
The electoral body had declared the governorship elections in Bauchi, Adamawa, Sokoto, Benue, Plateau and Kano states inconclusive and ordered that a rerun be conducted in the affected areas of the states within three weeks.
