French International and Barcelona Football Club of Spain forward, Ousmane Dembele has been fined €10,000 by a German court for leaving the house he rented while playing for Borussia Dortmund littered with rubbish.
The 21-year-old Dembele left the German giants in August 2017 after he moved to Barcelona in a stunning £105million deal. After sealing the move, Dembele never returned to his former residence in Germany.
According to German newspaper, Bild , Dembele’s landlord, Gerd Weissenberg said the house left behind by Dembele ‘was a dustbin’.
“The house was totally littered, every room. When I first entered the house again, I got a shock. It’s my parents’ home and that’s why I’m very disappointed. I am selling the house now,” Weissenberg added.
Although Demebele’s lawyer, Horst Kletke was pleased with the ruling, the fine which included rent arrears was less than half the €21,000 originally sought by Weissenberg.
“Of course Mr. Dembele earns lots of money but he also has the right to be treated correctly. We’ve made big strides today as regards the verdict,” Bild quoted Kletke as saying.
