Mrs. Jane Frances Iwuorie is a woman who has carved a niche for herself in the field of Nursing. In her profession, she has a tall stature and she has diligently served her country, Nigeria these several years.
An indigene of Imo State, Mrs Iwuorie schooled at the Cor. Maria High School, Urualla, Orlu where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1975. She then proceeded to the Queen Elizabeth Specialist Hospital, Umuahia where she qualified as a Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse in the years 1979 and 1981 respectively.
Mrs. Iwuorie is a woman who can boast of an array of academic achievements . She has a Diploma in Nursing Education from the Federal College of Education, Technical, Akoka (2004), Diploma in Management Sciences from the Administration Staff College of Nigeria, Badagry (2008), Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Lagos, Akoka (2010), Certification in Nipro Surdial 55 + Dialysis Machine from the Diamed Nephrology Hospital, Macedonia, Skopje (2012), and a Bachelor in Nursing degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (2016).
This quintessential nurse has gathered her wealth of experience from the different roles and positions she has occupied over the decades. She worked at the Dialysis Centre of Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH (1983-2002), Accident and Emergency Department of LUTH (1992-2003), Dialysis Centre, LUTH (2005-2006) and Nurse Educator/Coordinator, Accident and Emergency Post Basic School, LUTH (2015-2018)
Mrs. Jane Frances Iwuorie has attended several nursing and health related conferences and seminars within and outside Nigeria. She is an active member of the Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, American Nephrology Nurse Association, and the Nigerian Association of Nephrology.
She is an excellent team-player and a self-starter who possesses good interpersonal and communication skills. She is a happily married woman.
It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the field of Nursing that Mrs. Jane Frances Iwuorie is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
