American President, Donald Trump on Thursday suggested that the upcoming US presidential election scheduled for  November this year be postponed. He claimed the election would be “the most inaccurate” and “fraudulent” one in US history if it was allowed to be held on that date

He suggested a delay until people can “properly, securely and safely” vote.

States in the US want to make postal voting easier due to public health concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

He made the call via it personal twitter handle on Thursday.

This proposal comes months after Trump voiced opposition to mail-in ballots amid the coronavirus pandemic, which he said would lead to a “rigged election.”
