Hundreds of schoolboys who were kidnapped last Friday from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara are now back in Katsina State. They arrived Government House Katsina on Thursday night.
They were received by Governor Aminu Masari who broke the news of their release to the public that night. The governor confirmed the release of all 344 of the abducted schoolboys.
In an audio recording, a man identifying himself as the leader of Boko Haram claimed on Tuesday that the armed group was responsible for the abduction. That claim has since been debunked by agents of the Federal Government.
