Senate President, Ahmad Lawan this Wednesday has said the National Assembly Complex in Abuja is overdue for rehabilitation.
Lawan made the claim when reacting to a point of order moved by the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.
Abdullahi had complained that some media reports about the leaking roof of the building as well as the flooding of the chambers due to a heavy downpour on Tuesday, were full of inaccuracies and therefore impugned the integrity of lawmakers.
