Mr. Stephen Ighomena Irebia is a versatile, experienced and highly resourceful professional accountant. He has over 30 years of professional practice in finance, audit, tax, consulting and training.

Irebia who is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Stephen Philips & Associates Limited has been a veritable asset, through his services, to many individuals and corporates in Nigeria. He has been a reliable hand in the areas of excess bank charges recovery, feasibility studies, financial turnarounds, valuation and execution of infrastructure projects, corporate restructuring and strategic planning.

These several years, he has shown himself to be an epitome of integrity, energy and hardwork. He is a team player who employs mature and responsible approach to any task that he undertakes. These attributes have made him outstanding and extremely effective as he leads his teams to implement various assignments in the areas of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), consulting, tax and audit.

Stephen Irebia is a graduate of Accounting and Finance from Delta State University, Abraka. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), USA.

As a professional who is in touch with the times, he has developed financial, sales, operations management and complete business software solutions to address peculiar needs of his clients.

Outside his professional engagements, Irebia is a man who cares about the all–round development of his people. He was the sole sponsor of the second edition of the Isoko Nation Cup football competition held in December 2020. The competition took place in the two cities of Oleh and Ozoro which are the headquarters of Isoko South and Isoko North local government areas respectively.

He is a member of both the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of Uro Grammar School Old Students Association. The college is one of the oldest post–primary schools in Isokoland.

Expectedly, a lot of recognition has come the way of this illustrious Nigeria accountant. In the year 2020 for instance, he was honoured with the Global Mindset Media Philanthropic Personality of the Year Award.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the field of Accounting and Financial Management that Mr. Stephen Ighomena Irebia was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award which is part of the 21st PSR National Awards.
