Precious Toju Ukusanjuya fondly referred to as ”The Structure Lady” is an award-winning debt recovery lawyer, insolvency practitioner, credit risk analyst and attorney-mediator. She helps businesses and finance providers recover or manage debts, build profitable credit processes, and teach SMEs how to build debt-free businesses through her Legal Training and Business Structure Coaching programs.

Precious prides herself as the “Queen of Debt Recovery in Africa” and is on a mission to change the narratives of Debt Recovery and Credit Risk Management on the continent.

She has a vision to build the largest African network of successful debt recovery experts in the business of Debt Recovery with international best practices and help a minimum of one million SMEs build debt-free businesses.

Precious was called to the Nigerian Bar on 20th November 2012 and has over a decade of experience in Debt Recovery. She is versed and widely sought after in Finance, Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Law practice.

Precious started her journey into legal practice when she worked as Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Principal Partner of Randie Nwoko & Co. way back in 2006. From there, she gained admission into the University of Lagos to study law. She kept working and was always engaged as an intern in several law firms.

At that young age, Precious won the Best Staff of the Year award in the law firm and business enterprise of Mr. Randie Nwoko and since then it has been a progressive career journey up, from Randle Nwoko & Co. to M.A. Banire (SAN) & Associates, Glory Law House, Lawal Pedro (SAN) & Associates, Graystone Solicitors, Georgetown Solicitors, Justice Solicitors, Hughes Partners and now Livingspring Solicitors.

She is the current Principal Partner at Livingspring Solicitors, a full-service Business & Debt Recovery law firm, where she heads the Debt Recovery & Disputes Resolution Department.

In support of women with entrepreneurial spirit, Livingspring Solicitors on the 1st of October launched a unique program tagged “Rescue Your Business to Thrive”. The program is strictly for women in business with debt issues.

With her wealth of knowledge, special expertise and experience of over 11 years in the legal industry, Precious specializes in Debt Financing, Business Insolvency, Credit Risk Management, Debt Recovery Mediation, Real Estate/Investment Advisory, and Corporate Training/Executive Coaching.

Precious Toju Ukusanjuya’s primary education was at Ade-Adegbite Nursery & Primary School, Obanikoro, Lagos State. For her post–primary education, she attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Calabar.

She went on to study Law at the University of Lagos and earned her Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree. She attended the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja for her Barrister at Law (B.L.) qualification. She thereafter went back to the University of Lagos where she studied and bagged her Master of Laws (LL.M).

Ukusanjuya is a Certified Credit and Financial Analyst (CFAE). She also studied at the Post Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management.

She is a member of several professional associations including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the International Bar Association (IBA), and the Nigerian Bar Association section on Business Law.

Precious is a Fellow of the Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria, Association of Debt Recovery Agents, America, Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners of Nigeria and International Association of Insolvency Practitioners (INSOL).

Precious Ukusanjuya is a member of the National Institute of Credit Administrator (NICA) where she is currently serving as Secretary for the Educational and Training Committee.

She is an Accredited Agent and Insolvency Practitioner of the Corporate Affairs Commission and an Accredited Agent of the Federal Ministry of Industry (Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry] of the Commercial Law Department. She is also a Member of the Lagos State Civil Partnership.

She is happily married with two children.

It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the field of Corporate, Business and Commercial Legal Services that Mrs. Precious Toju Ukusanjuya was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the PSR National Awards.
