Human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi has been granted bail by an Ekiti State Magistrate Court in connection to a defamation case filed by legal luminary Afe Babalola.
The development was announced on Monday by Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, via his official X handle.
According to Sowore, the court set bail conditions at ₦50 million with a surety in the same amount. The surety is required to present landed property as collateral.
The case has been adjourned to January 29, 2025, for further proceedings.
