President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a 10-day working visit to Lagos, where he held a series of meetings with business leaders, government officials, and international partners focused on boosting Nigeria’s economic growth.
The President arrived in Lagos on September 26 after attending the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. During his stay, Tinubu engaged with prominent investors including Global Infrastructure Partners’ Bayo Ogunlesi and Metis Capital Partners’ Hakeem Belo-Osagie. He also hosted the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, to discuss strategies for expanding Nigeria’s maritime potential and strengthening the blue economy.
The working visit coincided with Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, which Tinubu marked with a national broadcast from the State House in Dodan Barracks, Lagos. He also travelled to Imo State to inaugurate key infrastructure projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
