President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in the United Kingdom for a two-day state visit at the invitation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The President, accompanied by the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, landed at London Stansted Airport at about 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday.
He was received on behalf of the Royal Family by Mark Bevan, Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, alongside Nigeria’s acting High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Mohammed Maidugu, and other senior officials. Several Nigerian governors, ministers, and senators were also on hand to welcome the President.
During the visit, President Tinubu and his wife are expected to be hosted at Windsor Castle from March 18 to March 19.
The state visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as well as exploring investment opportunities for businesses in both countries.
