Gunmen have attacked Government Secondary School, Odo-Ekina, in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
They abducted the principal, a National Examinations Council (NECO) ad hoc official and four students during the ongoing NECO examination.
The Kogi State Police Command said one of the abducted students has since been rescued, leaving the principal, the NECO official and three students still in captivity.
Police spokesperson, ASP Salisu Oyiza, said a joint security team has launched a search-and-rescue operation and is on the trail of the attackers.
The police added that efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victims and arrest those responsible for the attack.
