Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died after battling stage four cancer.

The 66-year-old Yoruba actor died on Sunday following a deterioration in his health. His daughter, Kira Taiwo, was seen in an emotional video struggling to come to terms with the loss.

Ogogo’s family and management had recently disclosed that he was critically ill and seeking specialised medical care.

The veteran actor, filmmaker and director was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, where he enjoyed a career spanning several decades and was widely known for his role in the popular film Owo Blow.
