Nigerian international pop star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido on Sunday won the award for “Best International Act” at the 2018 edition of the prestigious Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

The 17-year-old award which recognizes African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, the United States.

Davido edged out another Nigerian contemporary, Tiwa Savage as well as other global heavyweights including Britain’s Stormzy, Stefflon Don and J Hus to clinch the prestigious award.
