Odey Sunday Odey has made success out of business and enterprise by dints of hardwork, diligence and integrity. After serving meritoriously in other corporate settings, he today runs a fledgling enterprise which he founded and called Ofe – Odey Nigeria Ltd.

Sunday Odey was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Odey of Okpinya – Okpoma in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State. He started his educational journey at St. Michael Catholic Primary School, Ibil – Nkum in Ogoja LGA, also in Cross River State.

Afterwards, he proceeded to Nkum Secondary School for his secondary education. There, he was an outstanding student in both academics and sports. For his tertiary education, he attended the Polytechnic of Calabar where he came out in flying colours, bagging a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration. Afterwards, he enrolled at the University of Uyo for his Post Graduate Diploma (PGD).

In his quest for more professional knowledge, he went further to obtain an MBA in Marketing from the Lagos State University. In 1996, after his National Youth Service Program, he started his professional career in Lagos with Development Outlook Ltd, Surulere. While with the organization, he served as the Admin/Account Officer for two years.

He moved on to join Advanced International Merchants Ltd in 1998 as a marketing executive and grew so fast to the position of Head of Marketing. While at Advanced International Merchants Ltd, Mr. Odey Sunday proved his great managerial skills and leadership mettle by coordinating the sales and marketing department to achieve the strategic goals and growth of the company.

In 2014, after working with Advanced International Merchants for 16 years, Mr. Odey Sunday left to establish his own baby company, Ofe – Odey Nigeria Ltd, an industrial procurement and engineering servicing company offering top quality solutions-based services to manufacturing industries, government agencies and private individuals. With a high profile of integrity and honesty, the organization executes jobs to the satisfaction of  its clients.

Sunday Odey is married to Elizabeth Agede Odey and their union is blessed with four children–two males and two females.

It is in recognition of his accomplishments in the field of Engineering and Technical Services that Mr. Odey Sunday Odey is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award which is part of the PSR National Awards 2018.
