The presidential flag bearer of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Prince Eniola Ojajuni has officially stepped down for Mr. Gbenga Olawepo Hasimi, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust Party (PTP).
A statement released by Olajuni on Sunday morning said the decision followed extensive consultations he had with the national leaders of the AD in the Senate, House of Assembly, House of Representative and other support groups in over 18 states of the federation.
Although Ojajuni admitted that it was a difficult decision to make because of his love and patriotism for Nigeria, he thanked all Nigerian youths that supported him and vowed to continue the fight for a new Nigeria.
He lauded Hasimi for his doggedness, intelligence and capabilities which qualify him for the role to champion the cause for a new Nigeria. He described him as a man of his words whose intelligence has given him an edge over other presidential candidates.
Olajuni further pleaded with his supporters and all well-meaning Nigerians who desire a better Nigeria to support and vote massively for Mr. Hasimi in the 2019 presidential election.
