Dr Jabal Sadavrati is a hard-working, highly experienced, enthusiastic and competent physician. He has vast experience in the area of Health and Safety and has worked in different parts of the world and under some of the most challenging occupational settings.
Today, he is Medical Director of Sterling Global Oil Resources Ltd, an oil company with a staff strength of over 3000 which is located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
As Medical Director of Sterling Global Oil Resources Ltd, he handles all the medical and health issues of the staff in conjunction with 19 other satellite clinics located at other job sites of the company in the eastern states of Nigeria. He audits the satellite clinics. He also handles and manages Primary Healthcare Centres for many communities which are relevant to the company’s operations in the eastern part of Nigeria. He is involved in community welfare programs such as eye check camps, cataract surgeries, hypertensive awareness camps, HIV and AIDS awareness camps and other activities.
Apart from the above, Dr Jabal Sadavrati owns two clinics in Victoria Island with an annex at Ilupeju, also in Lagos. He is Medical Consultant at Gleneagels Medical Healthcare Services Ltd which is based in Victoria Island.
Sadavrati had his fist degree in Medicine (MBBS). He also has an MD in Internal Medicine. He has had numerous trainings in the area of Health and Safety. They include: Basic Life Support & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS & ACLS), Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET), Basic Safety and Preparedness (Norwegian OLF), Personnel Survival Techniques, Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention, Offshore First Aid Instructor, Elementary Food Hygiene, Electrocardiograph Recorders, Audiometric Screening, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Course and Trauma Stress Management.
Over the years, Dr Jabal Sadavrati has worked in several places as Offshore Doctor on different vessels of oil and gas companies. He worked as Offshore Doctor at Nabors Drilling International Ltd, The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd, Premium Drilling and Saipem.
In 2008, he worked as a General Medical Practitioner in charge of Abdirahman Medical Centre in Burao, Somaliland. The medical centre, although privately owned was also funded by the United Nations. It was run as a Public Private Partnership with the government of Somaliland.
Here in Nigeria, he worked with Atlantic Health Services in Victoria Island, Lagos as a General Medical Practitioner between 2009 and 2010. He joined the services of Sterling Global Oil Resources Ltd in July, 2010.
A citizen of India, he is a happily married man.
It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the field of Human Medicine and Orthodox Medical Practice that Dr Jabal Sadavrati is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award.
