The Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai has warned officers and men of the Nigerian Army to stay away from politics or politically-related activities.
He issued the warning on Tuesday through a statement released by the Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Sani Usman.

On the basis of that, he has warned such persons to desist from these acts,” the statement said.
“Any officer or soldier of the Nigerian Army found to be hobnobbing with such elements or engaging in unprofessional conduct such as politicking would have himself or herself to blame,” it added.
