One of the top players in Nigeria’s insurance industry, Custodian and Allied Plc, has appointed Mrs Omobola Johnson as its Chairperson. She also becomes a director of the company.
Dr Omobola Johnson was Nigeria’s Minister of Communication and Technology from 2011 to 2015. As Chairperson of Custodian, she replaces business mogul, Chief Michael Ade Ojo.
Mrs Johnson has a B.Sc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Manchester, an M.Sc in Digital Electronics from Kings College/Chelsea College, University of London. She also holds a doctorate in Business Administration from Cranfield University, also in the United Kingdom.
She joined Accenture in 1985 and rose to become Country Managing Director of the company in Nigeria in 2005. She is the founding Chairperson of Women in Management, Business and Public Service.
