Otunba Babatunde Alatise is the Managing Director of Tuntise Mining and Chemical Services Company Ltd, the Operations Director of Tuntise Investments Ltd and the Managing Director of Yemlat Farms Ltd.

Babatunde Saheed Alatise, fondly called “Babs” was born into the family of late Alhaji Otunba Sikiru Olatunji Alatise, the Alagbala  Adinni of Lagos & IjebuLand and the Otutubiosun of IjebuLand and Alhaja Oluyemisi Abiodun Alatise Nee Oyenuga of Agbowa – Ikosi, Epe, Lagos State.

Babs attended Corona Nursery and Primary Schools in Apapa and Ikoyi respectively and finished his O-levels in the 90’s from Home Science Association Secondary School with five distinctions with highest awards in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

He graduated with the class of 2000/01 with a Bachelor of Science from Lagos State University in Mechanical Engineering and in 2003/4, he furthered his education with a postgraduate degree at London Metropolitan University, North London with a Masters’ degree in Computer Science & Information Systems. He is also an Oracle Certified Database Administration Professional, amongst other certifications from NIIT.

After a few years as a sales solutions provider/sales analyst with Sage UK, one of the biggest I.T. Solution Providers for S.M.E.s in North East of Britain, he relocated back to Nigeria in 2007 with a dream and passion to set up two companies, Tuntise I.C.T. Ltd and Magish Entertainment, the first with interest in ICT Consultancy & Knowledge based ICT Educational Solutions and the latter, an Audio/Visual Engineering Company, which was and still is his passion.

In 2008, he joined in the management and daily running of affairs of the family business, Tuntise Investments Limited, established in 1989 by his father, the late Otunba Alatise which specializes in the importation and distribution of Civil Explosives and blasting accessories, mining products and services for construction companies and quarries, with operations across the country.

In 2013, he resuscitated Yemlat Farms Ltd, established by Alhaja Oluyemisi Alatise in 1986- an oil palm plantation in Agbowa Ikosi. The company has further diversified into plantain production and catfish aquaculture.

He is currently a member of LCCI,Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an active member of CEDAN, Civil Explosives Dealers Association of Nigeria.

Babatunde Saheed Alatise was conferred with the title of Otunba Otutubiosun of Ososa Ijebu  on the 25th of September 2015 by HRM Oba (Dr.) Adetoye Mojeed Alatishe, Ilufemiloye I, Ogunroyega VI, Gbegannde of Ososa for his contribution towards the development of Ososa Ijebu Land, with his fully- equipped FREE ICT Online Learning Centre for secondary school students.

His hobbies include listening to music, socializing, swimming and boxing. He has a passion for helping in the community . Just to mention some of his contributions, he helped in the rehabilitation and training of ex-militants from the Niger Delta and has been involved in youth empowerment especially in the management of talents in the entertainment industry and trade unions . Babs also volunteers as the General Secretary and Chief Security Officer of his street’s  Residents Association.

He is a devoted father and a disciplinarian, with a “can do” spirit, who will never leave any stone unturned or any task uncompleted, an example among his peers. He is married to a wonderful woman from Begoro in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Genevieve Awo Obrago Alatise, and are blessed with a handsome son and beautiful daughter.
