Alhaji Abideen Ademola Olagunju is a greatly accomplished Nigerian businessman. His strong business muscle has reached beyond Nigeria and is making a lot of impact abroad. Indeed, Olagunju is better known in China where his company, AOL Global Logistics Ltd has the reputation of being one the most reliable African cargo service providers.

AOL Global Logistics began operations in Guangzhou, China in the year 2002 as an international freight logistics company managed by a team of professionals. It provides air freight services, sea cargo services, air freight logistics, sea and air multimodal transport and customs clearance services.

The company has built a strong reputation for rendering these services in a dedicated, efficient and cost – effective manner. AOL Global is one of the first names to call when the business is international transport solution to Nigeria and Africa from China.

Today, AOL is a corporate group comprising business operations in Guangzhou, China; the AOL Global Enterprises Ltd, which is based in Lagos and AOL Global International Ltd, Hong Kong.

In Nigeria, Alhaji Olagunju has also ventured into the hospitality industry. He has built an impressive and expansive hotel named Home Inn Hotel and Suites in Lagos. The hotel began operations in 2012.

Olagunju, an indigene of Osun State was born on March 1, 1969. In 1990, he graduated from Osun State College of Education. In 1992, he bagged a Diploma in Aviation Studies from Dayrem Institute of Professional Studies.

From 1999 to 2002, he worked as Chief Representative for Wooden Gold International Ltd, Guangzhou, China. He incorporated AOL Global Logistics Ltd in Guangzhou in 2002 with an investment capital of over one million dollars.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the sphere of Hotel & Hospitality Services that Alhaji Abideen Ademola Olagunju is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development In Nigeria Merit Award.
