A former member of the House of Representatives and governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the forthcoming elections in Anambra State, Chris Okey Enemuo has reportedly been kidnapped.
Enemuo, who also served as Commissioner of Environment in the state when current Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige was the governor, was abducted around Udi in the neigbouring Enugu State.
According to Chief Sir Tony Chigbo, the Chairman of Anambra Unite, a political forum, Enemuo who recently picked his nomination and expression of interest form to contest the November 18 elections under the Labour Party was kidnapped between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. along the Udi-Enugu Road, having left Ekwulobia around 6 p.m.on Sunday.
His family members have been informed of his abduction by an unknown person on phone although no ransom has so far been demanded for his release.
