The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cleared 37 political parties to contest the forthcoming governorship elections in Anambra State.

According to INEC, the incumbent governor, Willie Obiano will contest under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Obaze Oseloka will be the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Tony Nwoye will be representing the All Progressives Congress(APC).

Others are Christian Enemuo of the Labour Party(LP), Uju Uchendu Ozoka of the AA, Nwezi Felix Amaechi (AGAP), Oby Kate Okafor (ACD), Akunwata Ejoh Ojiba (ACPN), Paul Chukwudi Obianaso (ADC), Ifeanyichukwu Edward Reginald Okonkwo (ADP), Adaeze Chizuke Okafor (APDA), Nweke Christopher Chukwudubem (APP), Ohanugo Ikem Cecil (BNPP) and Emmanuel Uchenna Nwibe (DA).

Others shortlisted are Edochie Yul Chibuike (DPC), Onuorah Basil Onyeachonam (GPN), Samuel Osita Oraegbunam (HDP), Ndife Franklin Ikenna (ID), Rufus Okeke Sunday Ezeokolonkwor (KOWA), Okafor Onyeka Christian (MMN), Praise Okechukwu (MPPP), Chinedu Uzoma Okpalanma (NCP), Benneth Abaniwu (NDLP), Felix A.R. Obi – Okafor (NEPP) and Okafor Charles Ogbonna (NNPP).

Val. Okey Oguejiofor of the NPC, Peter Chibike (PDC), Chukwunaenye Ezeemo (PPA), Kenneth Ejike Modezie (PPP), Stephen Obiorah Mba (PRP), Ifeanyi L. Obalum (SDP), Stanley Uche Ezeanyaku (UDP), Osita Chidoka (UPP), Ozoemene Nonso (YDP) and YPP’s Nnaemeka Ifeoma Ezibe complete the list.
