
Mohamed Salah has emerged the BBC Africa footballer of the year. He beat Nigeria’s Victor Moses,Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Guinean Naby Keita and Sadio Mane of Senegal.
Salah has had a fabulous year. He was instrumental in Egypt’s world cup qualification for the first time since 1990 and is also the English Premiership’s top scorer this season.
In acceptance of this award, Salah said “I would like to thank my Liverpool team-mates and I also had a good season with Roma so I have to thank my team-mates there and my team-mates in the national team.”
