The Nike-designed jersey which will be worn by Nigeria’s senior national football team, the Super Eagles at the Russia 2018 World Cup has been rated as the best out of all the countries that will be participating at the Mundial.
According to Mirror.co.uk who sampled and analyzed all the jerseys that will be on display at the global soccer fiesta, the Super Eagles outfit was adjudged as being the best.
The Super Eagles jersey was designed by Matthew Wolff, a graphics designer with Nike. The Eagles last used a jersey designed by the sports kit giants during the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by South Korea and Japan, where the home kit was an all-green collared shirt with a strip of white on the side while the away kit was all white with a strip of green on the side.
For the home kit to be used in Russia, the white jersey has a bright green-and-white zigzag design which spreads across the torso. The sleeves have a zigzag black design. The away kit is a variation of the full-green strip.
Nike says the inspiration for the design of the jersey was drawn from that worn during the 1995 King Fahd Cup now known as the FIFA Confederations Cup, describing the jersey as audacious, fast, fun and stylish.
