An unnamed woman has filed a complaint in court accusing American Rhythm & Blues singer, Robert Kelly of intentionally infecting her with Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).

According to her attorney, Lee Merritt, the woman also alleged that the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ singer tried to groom her and convince her to join his alleged ‘sex cult’ that satisfies his sexual wishes.

Merritt stated that his client, who was 19 when she started dating R-Kelly last June ended their eight-month relationship in February this year after she experienced several forms of sexual misconduct by Kelly including “unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor and aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection).”

A report detailing the singer’s alleged mistreatment of women was first published by BuzzFeed last July, after the families of two women and several other former associates accused him of brainwashing young women into a ‘cult’ that services his sexual desires.

The article included an interview with Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage who said their daughter, Jocelyn had been brainwashed and was being held at one of Kelly’s properties – an allegation Jocelyn however denied.

The new accuser has also contacted the Savages on social media with the family praising her “bravery” in coming forward with the latest complaint against the 51-year-old Kelly.
