Popular American singer, Beyonce Giselle Carter popularly known as Beyonce has purchased a stone structured, 7,500 square feet house of God in The Big Easy, New Orleans said to be more than 100 years old.

Reports say the church was sold to the singer at a discount of $850, 000. Built in the early 1900s, the church has been out of commission as a worship centre due to most of its members passing away.

Reports also have it that the singer and her younger sister, Solange both own properties in the city and may be investing millions of dollars in the community.
