As the United States government enters its third day of partial shutdown, President Donald Trump on Monday said he was bored and feeling all left alone in the White House.

Trump, who spent most of the day slamming his critics after cancelling his trip to his Mar-a-Lago Resort in Florida also said he was waiting for the Democrats to come to the negotiating table to end the partial government shutdown.

Through a series of tweets and pictures he released on his official account, Trump showed he was working hard at the White House while the opposition Democratic lawmakers were in their homes celebrating Christmas.

“I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security. At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!” he tweeted.

“I am in the Oval Office and just gave out a 115-mile-long contract for another large section of the Wall in Texas. We are already building and renovating many miles of Wall, some complete. Democrats must end Shutdown and finish funding. Billions of dollars, and lives, will be saved!” he added.

Trump had wanted the Democrats to fund the erection of a border wall to stop illegal immigrants from entering the US but they have refused his $5 billion demand to fund the border wall, resulting in a standoff which led to a partial government shutdown on Friday night.
