Argentine international and Barcelona of Spain attacker, Lionel Messi has reportedly doled out a hefty $15 million on a luxury jet that would shuttle him and his family between Europe and South America.
According to an Argentine website, Doble Amarilla, the jet which is a 2004 Gulfstream V comes with 16 executive seats, two bathrooms and two kitchens. Although purchased in the United States, the jet will be registered in his native Argentina.
Messi has already made some personal modifications to the new jet. The number ‘10’ has been painted onto the tail while the name of each member of his family (Leo, Antonella, Thiago, Ciro and Mateo) has been written on to the steps of the boarding stairs.
The jet arrived at the Aeroparque de Buenos Aires on Friday and a hangar will be built in the town of San Fernando to accommodate the five-time Balon D’or winner’s new luxury means of transport.
